Victim Support Services, Family & Sexual Violence

Mandate/Mission

This community-based victim services program seeks to:

  • lessen the impact of crime and trauma on victims of crime and their families
  • assist in their recovery, increase victim safety
  • help reduce the risk of further victimization
  • increase the level of participation and sense of empowerment for victims throughout their participation in the criminal justice system
  • increase the effectiveness of a victim while acting as a witness in court proceedings

Client Group

The victim service program provides services to victims of crime who may or may not have reported the crime to police or be involved with the criminal justice system
