Aboriginal Supported Child Development Program - NCAFPS

Mandate/Mission

To provide extra support for Aboriginal children with special needs,in a child care facility

Client Group

Aboriginal children aged 0-6 who are at risk for developmental delays and their families, both on and off reserve

Procedure:drop-in, self-referral or referral from another agency

Services

- visits at child care centres or in the child's home
- referrals to other agencies, i.e. speech therapist, physiotherapist, etc.
- developmental assessments
- extra support to children while they attend a child care facility
